Our original artist support program was a work-in-progress series called Mudson which lasted for ten years and got its unusual name from a mash-up of the Judson Church (a historic site of experimental dance in 1960s NYC) and the Masonic Temple here in SLC. In fall of 2021, Mudson became Sunday Series, which takes place occasionally in alternative spaces like the Rooftop at Spy Hop in downtown Salt Lake City.
Currently, Sunday Series is a curated evening of dance that supports artists to experiment and present new work. Still honoring the original intention of a low-tech production, Sunday Series supports the generative work of dance artists, either finished or in process.
Sunday Series is currently a closed-application process. Please email halie@lovedancemore.org to express future interest.

Mudson (2010-2020)
Modeled after Movement Research at the Judson Church, this series was hosted for five years at the Masonic Temple and in subsequent years various sites, including the Marmalade Branch of the Salt Lake City Public Library.
Early planning meetings with Ashley Anderson, Samuel Hanson, and Katie Meehan turned “Masonic Judson” into Mudson. Later years were supported by the hard work of Emily Haygeman, Katherine Adler, Amy Falls, and Erica Womack.
The series presented over 150 new dances. And paid artists over $20,000 in stipends.
Daughters of Mudson was a two-year curatorial platform that developed works from the series for presentation in the Rose Wagner’s Studio Theater.
