Dance Class for Humans (DCFH) is a local dance collective made possible through the support of loveDANCEmore. DCFH has presented advanced-level modern and contemporary dance training on an accessible basis since 2023. Through our rotating teacher model, we provide a cross-pollination of many schools of contemporary technique and attract students from different dance disciplines to try new types of classes at a low cost.

During the 2026-27 season, DCFH, in collaboration with loveDANCEmore and Westminster University, will present more than seventy classes for dancers in the Salt Lake City community. This service to the field has created a sustainable training opportunity outside of existing scholastic and company models that our city has been demanding of for many years.

DCFH intentionally rotates the curation of our teachers to widen representation, and feature a balance of local major company members, esteemed independent artists, and international guests. We strive to sustain reliable, high-quality classes by supporting artists through our paid teaching and hosting opportunities. At the same time, we maintain our practice of "no one turned away" and offer work/trade opportunities alongside our sliding scale price for students to ensure that our classes stay inclusive to everyone, regardless of cost. As the only reliable and low-cost contemporary class series in town, we build a strong sense of community through movement.
