Mudson (2010-2020)
Modeled after Movement Research at the Judson Church, this series was hosted for five years at the Masonic Temple and in subsequent years various sites, including the Marmalade Branch of the Salt Lake City Public Library.
Early planning meetings with Ashley Anderson, Samuel Hanson, and Katie Meehan turned “Masonic Judson” into Mudson. Later years were supported by the hard work of Emily Haygeman, Katherine Adler, Amy Falls, and Erica Womack.
The series presented over 150 new dances. And paid artists over $20,000 in stipends.
Daughters of Mudson was a two-year curatorial platform that developed works from the series for presentation in the Rose Wagner’s Studio Theater.
